Breve C.V.:

Graduado en 2007 en la Facultad de Arquitectura de la Universidad Tecnológica de la Habana.

En la actualidad se desempeña como Especialista Principal del Grupo de planeamiento y Gestión Urbanos Plan Maestro de la Oficina del Historiador de La Ciudad de La Habana.

Ha sido coordinado del Plan de Manejo del Paisaje Cultural de la Bahía de La Habana, así como del Plan Perspectivo de Desarrollo de dicho territorio. Ha impartido conferencias en
varias universidades y eventos internacionales.

Ha desarrollado varios temas de investigación, desde los espacios públicos inclusivos y con enfoque de género, el urbanismo eco sistémico, la movilidad sustentable, el paisaje como instrumento para planeamiento urbano, entre otros.

Profesor instructor de la UTH, en temas de planeamiento, diseño y rehabilitación urbanos.

Atlas del Patrimonio Cultural, un instrumento valioso para concebir el futuro de La Bahía de La Habana.

Sección: Conservación, seguridad e intervenciones sobre el patrimonio.

El Atlas del Patrimonio Cultural de la Zona de Protección Bahía de La Habana tiene como objetivos inventariar, registrar, documentar, difundir y salvaguardar el patrimonio de la Bahía de la Habana y sus zonas aledañas.

Permitirá acompañar los procesos urbanos de dichas áreas. El Atlas consta de dos componentes. El primero aborda las complejidades territoriales desde diferentes ámbitos, como la evolución histórica, el sistema defensivo de la plaza La Habana, los diferentes sistemas del paisaje cultural, y la estructura del puerto y su funcionamiento, entre otros temas; y el segundo comprende el inventario del patrimonio, que incluye la cartografía, la fotografía y la documentación de los valores culturales del territorio.

El inventario se organiza desde los diferentes elementos del patrimonio material e inmaterial. Este instrumento permitirá reunir en una base de datos abierta y en diferentes publicaciones, una amplia gama de información y de análisis de los recursos culturales de la Zona de Protección Bahía de La Habana.

Abordar el patrimonio cultural desde una visión territorial y espacial, permitirá convertir el Atlas en un instrumento de consulta imprescindible para la salvaguarda del patrimonio cultural de la nación, además, acompañará los procesos para establecer los grados de protección de cada uno de los elementos.

El Atlas se estructurará en tres bloques fundamentales: el Paisaje Cultural, el Patrimonio Material, y el Patrimonio Inmaterial. La construcción de un registro de esta magnitud y complejidad, requerirá de varias consultas, talleres y de un proceso participativo inclusivo.

En la actualidad el avance del atlas está siendo un instrumento operativo y estratégico para el Plan Perspectivo de desarrollo de la Bahía de la Habana.

Atlas of Cultural Heritage, a valuable instrument to conceive the future of the Havana Bay.

SECTION: Conservation, security and interventions on the heritage.

The Cultural Heritage Atlas of the Havana Bay Protection Zone aims to inventory, record, document, disseminate and safeguard the heritage of Havana Bay and its surrounding areas. It will make it possible to accompany the urban processes in these areas.

The Atlas consists of two components. The first addresses the territorial complexities from different spheres, such as historical evolution, the defensive system of Havana Square, the different systems of the cultural landscape, and the structure of the port and its functioning, among other topics; and the second comprises the heritage inventory, which includes cartography, photography and documentation of the cultural values of the territory. The inventory is organized from the different elements of the tangible and intangible heritage.

This tool will make it possible to bring together in an open database and various publications a wide range of information and analysis of the cultural resources of the Havana Bay Protection Zone. Approaching cultural heritage from a territorial and spatial viewpoint will make the Atlas an essential consultation tool for safeguarding the nation's cultural heritage, and will also accompany the processes for establishing the degrees of protection of each of the elements.

The Atlas will be structured in three fundamental sections: Cultural Landscape, Tangible Heritage and Intangible Heritage. The construction of a register of this magnitude and complexity will require several consultations, workshops and an inclusive participatory process.

The progress of the atlas is currently being used as an operational and strategic tool for the Havana Bay Development Plan.
